This guitar is special in several ways. C.F. Martin & Co. will donate 5'000$ to the Rainforest Alliance. The model will be limited to 500 pieces and part of this edition will go to a charity that has famous musicians sign guitars to auction them to the benefit of conservational efforts. The most striking feature of the guitar is, of course, the marvelous design by Robert Goetzl that is applied to the top in Martin's Mimaki Printing technology, depicting our planet in all its beauty. But – as always in life – the true beauty of this guitar lies under the surface. The guitar is entirely made of FSC certified wood: A spruce top, sipo neck, sapele back and sides, and ebony fretboard and bridge. A flame maple binding higlights the beauty of the dramatic earth design and real bone nut and saddle ensure the best connection between the strings and body. This is a truly unique instrument that will not only sound great but also supports an important cause.
