"A beautiful, all solid wood Martin guitar at an affordable price – how is that even possible? In order to pull that one off, the Mexican Martin plant leaves the beaten track and uses outstanding but lesser known tone woods for the back and sides. The result is a series of stunningly beautiful guitars with great sound.
Spruce and ziricote are a beautiful combination. But Martin wouldn’t be Martin if they just left it at that. So this version of the 13-E-Special is topped off with a breath taking sunburst finish on the top. The result is an instrument which, inspite of the contemporary, off-set shape and all the technical advancments still radiates a traditional warmth. The typical SC-binding design, keeps it from getting too traditional though.
